This Web site purpose to provide information on the craft of aerial cinematography. It was first launched in 1998 as a source for film production personnel. The site's primary creator and designer is Mark R. Leins who has served as an aerial camera technician in the motion picture industry since 1995. Mark has extensive experience with the Tyler mount and Gyron FS systems as well as being the only US-based Vectorvision technician..

A major contributor to the site's content is Greg Collier who is currently a technician for the Gyrosphere gyro-stablilized ball mount system. Greg also has much experience with Tyler mounts and the outside mount.

The site is owned by Laurie K. Gilbert S.O.C. of L'Image Cinematography, an aerial and marine cinematographer who operates globally from an operational base in South East Asia. Laurie has more than 25 years experience as a professional Director of Photography shooting motion picture material in a total of 46 countries..

It is supported and hosted by Digital Tsunami, a Communication Solutions Provider with offices in Australia, Brazil, China and New Zealand.
